Pediatric Oncology and Haematology in Out-patient Clinic (RBH_016)
About Study Course
Objective
To provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills and improve them in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the speciality of paediatric onco-haematology in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
Learning outcomes
1.Demonstrates profound and extended knowledge and understanding of medicine in general, but in the speciality of a paediatric haemato-oncologist he/she meets the requirements of the speciality and is in the forefront of the science and the professional area, which lays foundations for creative thinking in the clinical practice and in part also in research, as well as the ability to act in interdisciplinary communication.
1.Independently plans and organises improvement and development of doctor's specialist professional competence; undertakes responsibility for work results of personnel groups and their analysis; is able to do business, innovations in the respective doctor’s speciality; knows how to provide emergency medical assistance, is able to perform work, further learning or research in complicated and unpredictable conditions and, to transform it using new approaches, when needed.
1.Independently formulates and critically analyses complicated problems of clinical medicine, critically evaluates studies in the area of medical science; conducts necessary additional analysis, when needed to justify decisions; integrates knowledge from different fields of medicine; summarises experience, makes a contribution to the creation of new knowledge, development of research or specialist professional activity methods; demonstrates understanding and ethical responsibility for the results of the specialist professional activity, potential impact of clinical or scientific research on the patient and the community.
