Objective

To provide and enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in pediatric oncology, per the pediatric surgical specialty’s requirements to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of pediatric surgery.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.- to define conservative and surgical treatment indications in pediatric oncology.
- to draft the examination and treatment plan for pediatric oncology patients.
- To orientate with the diagnostic methods and instruments used in pediatric oncology, as well as the surgical treatment options and principles
To learn:
• detailed theoretical knowledge of emergency situations in pediatric oncology for children of various ages.
• conservative and surgical treatment indications and use of oncological emergencies for children of various ages.
• Diagnostic methods, instruments and apparatuses, and practical skills for diagnostic and treatment manipulations used in pediatric oncology, as well as for surgical treatment methods of practical use for surgical profiled pediatric patients.
• to draft an examination and treatment plan for pediatric oncological patients.

Skills

1.- To determine indications for surgical treatment of oncology patients.
- To perform therapeutic surgical procedures for oncological patients of various ages.

1.- To provide qualified surgical assistance for oncology patients of various ages.
