About Study Course
Objective
The objective of the study course is to provide an opportunity to learn the theoretical foundations of pharmaceutical dosage form preparation and the practical skills required for the preparation of different dosage forms in a pharmacy.
Prerequisites
Inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical pharmacy, mathematics, plant and animal biology, pharmacognosy, microbiology, pharmaceutical chemistry.
Learning outcomes
1.As a result of successfully completing the study course, the student:
1. Will have the knowledge of the theoretical basis of the preparation of pharmaceutical dosage forms.
2. Will be able to answer questions about the preparation of dosage forms in a pharmacy.
3. Will be able to explain and justify the order of addition of ingredients to each dosage form.
1.As a result of learning the study course, the student will be able to:
1. to use methods for the technology of pharmaceutical forms, for the manufacture of medicinal products in pharmacy conditions;
2. to prepare different pharmaceutical forms with sufficient speed and quality;
3. evaluate and, if necessary, correct the process of the preparation of pharmaceutical dosage forms (powders, solutions, suspensions, semi-solid dosage forms) acquired in the study course.
1.As a result of completing the study course, students will be able to prepare medicinal products according to individual formulae in the pharmacy.
