About Study Course
Objective
To provide and enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in plastic and reconstructive surgery, per the pediatric surgical specialty’s requirements to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of pediatric surgery.
Learning outcomes
1.- assessment of emergency conditions and drafting of treatment plans in plastic and reconstructive surgery for adults of various ages (with/without concomitant diseases);
- examination and treatment plan drafting for patients before planned plastic or reconstructive operations;
- patient preparation peculiarities for operations, emphasizing attention to emergency and urgent operations in plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as basic principles of treatment in the pre- and post-operative periods.
- To orientate with the diagnostic methods and instruments used in plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as the surgical treatment possibilities and principles.
To learn:
• detailed theoretical knowledge about reconstructive surgical possibilities and principles in cases of organ amputation;
• conservative and surgical treatment indications and their application in plastic and reconstructive surgery for adults with bedsores;
• diagnostic methods, instruments and apparatuses, and practical skills for diagnostic and therapeutic manipulations used in plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as surgical treatment method practical application for patients of various ages (with/without concomitant diseases);
• to provide qualified emergency assistance for patients in cases of limb or appendage amputation;
• to draw up an examination plan, to formulate the plastic and reconstructive surgical options in cases of cosmetic defects of various parts of the body;
• to draft an examination plan and determine the indications in hand surgery.
1.- to provide qualified emergency diagnostics and assistance to patients of various ages with various types of traumatic amputations;
- to be able to designate adequate analgesic therapy for patients post plastic reconstructive operations;
- to assess the reconstructive body parts/graft viability in the early post-operative period.
