Objective

To provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge of the basic principles of psychological counselling and their characteristics for different groups of clients/patients and to develop counselling skills with clients/patients through various interventions/methods.

Prerequisites

Personality psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, personality research, social psychology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students understand and are able to explain the nature of psychological counselling and its specifics to a specific group of clients/patients; are able to describe the principles of client relationship development, can describe and explain the stages of the individual counselling process, can identify counselling interventions/methods.

Skills

1.Students recognise the counselling skills they use in their own and others' work, reflect on their skills and experience, and provide feedback to coursemates on their skills.

Competence

1.Students apply their consulting skills.
