About Study Course
Objective
To provide postgraduate theoretical and practical acquirement and improvement of skills to qualify doctors to be practitioners in general surgery according to requirements of regulation, corresponding to the normative documentation of the Latvian Republic.

1.• appreciate high-risk population groups in oncology,

• screening, diagnosis and stage of determination
• interpretation of clinical findings, radiological and endoscopic examinations results
• make tissue material sourcing cytological and histological examination, prepare the supporting documentation and to evaluate the morphological results of examinations
• make the pleural cavity and ascites puncture
• perform digital rectal investigation and evaluate the results
• organize oncological patients the necessary assistance acute situations
• mean adequate pain relief and palliative therapy tumors
• adequately investigate patients with possible onkopatoloģiju organize patient control process after radical treatment (dispanserizāciju) timely diagnosis of relapse
• work with oncology patients and medical staff of the Authority, subject to the principles of medical ethics manipulation
1.• Primary oncologic patient investigation, disease stage clarification and documentation processing 10 patients

• Digital rectal investigation 5 patients
• The standard chemotherapy regimen selection, dose calculation for breast and colorectal cancer patients, adjuvant and palliative therapy 8 patients
• Participation in radiation therapy selection and planning work for breast, lung, rectal and prostate cancer patients 6 patients
