Objective

Develop the ability of students to analyse psychological and social impact factors of athletic performance, evaluate and apply psychological preparation methods, and transfer this knowledge to athletes in a structured way to promote their performance and psychological well-being in different sports contexts.

Prerequisites

Study courses “Health behaviour in Sport” and “psychological competence and leadership of the coach in Sport” have been acquired and passed.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Analyses the concept of athletic performance, its structure, influencing factors and measurement possibilities in the context of sports psychology.

Skills

1.Analyse and evaluate both internal and external factors affecting an athlete’s performance and identify appropriate psychological techniques for managing these factors.

Competence

1.Formulate and solve complex problems related to athletic performance by integrating theoretical knowledge and practical skills from the fields of psychology and sports science.
