About Study Course
Objective
To acquire the knowledge of sports medicine, acquire the skills and necessary competences for the qualification of an education and sports specialist sports teacher, sports coach, sports manager.
Prerequisites
Anatomy, physiology basics, ageing and sports physiology, sports biochemistry, sports biomechanics basics and physical exercise and health.The terminology of the study in English is used, which has been acquired in studies courses in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, biochemistry, as well as using the teaching medium “English in physiotherapy” of I.Boges and I.Rudzinska. English for Physiotherapists’,Riga LASE, 2015.Interdisciplinarity in the sports injury, cause and prevention study course is expressed in knowledge inheritance from anatomy, dynamic anatomy, physiology, age and sports physiology and biomechanics study courses, as well as pedagogical placement study courses.
Learning outcomes
1.Knowledge of health care for children, young people and young athletes in the field of sports medicine and medicine
inspections in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No. 594; knowledge of Spotista’s history.
1.Students are able to independently detect and assess the condition of postures, body somatotypes, legs and feet with somatoscopy and plantography techniques.
1.Students acquire competences to somatoscopically detect and assess the condition of posture, body somatotypes, legs and feet in children, youth and athletes, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
