Objective

To provide theoretical and practical knowledge of technologies used in interventional radiology – digital subtraction angiography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography, radiofrequency ablation, etc.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Upon completion of this course, the resident acquires theoretical knowledge about the physical parameters of fluoroscopy, ultrasonography and magnetic resonance equipment, operating principles, basic principles and possibilities of image optimization. Radiation dose limitation, ALARA principles.

Skills

1.During the course, practical skills are acquired on the basic principles of operation and operation of fluoroscopy, magnetic resonance and ultrasonography equipment. Ability to manipulate technical parameters for image optimization purposes.

Competence

1.Upon completion of the course, the resident will be able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills to correctly apply the technologies used in interventional radiology.
