Objective

To provide students with opportunities to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in field of traumatology and orthopaedics, to be able to help independently and give adequate care required by specialty.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Will be able to demonstrate the acquired knowledge by:
a) Explaining examination and treatment process used in each particular case;
b) Describing principles of own particular actions;
c) Evaluating treatment process, its results and prognosis;
d) Listing and naming the required rehabilitation process.

Skills

1.Will be able to:
a) examine a patient with musculoskeletal trauma or disease;
b) make a proper diagnosis after gathering objective and additional data;
c) choose and apply proper treatment method.

Competence

1.By using the acquired knowledge will be able to:
a) describe and characterize different types of trauma and related diseases;
b) describe different treatment methods, compare and evaluate them;
c) define and explain different symptoms used in specialty;
d) compare and evaluate results of different treatment methods.
