Objective

To provide students with opportunities to acquire and improve theoretical and practical knowledge in field of traumatology and orthopaedics, to be able independently assess specific professional topics.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Will be able to demonstrate the acquired knowledge by:
a) Describing principles of particular actions in treating certain trauma;
b) Describing chosen treatment method;
c) Evaluating consequences and complications of a certain trauma;
d) Describing required rehabilitation process.

Skills

1.Will be able to:
a) give proper help in medical emergency situation;
b) choose and apply proper treatment method before surgery;
c) choose and apply proper conservative or surgical treatment method.

Competence

1.By using the acquired knowledge the resident will be able to:
a) make a proper diagnosis;
b) evaluate given clinical and additional data;
c) make a proper treatment and rehabilitation plan;
d) evaluate treatment results and be able to predict outcome.
