About Study Course
Objective
To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in traumatology and orthopaedics according to the requirements of the surgery specialty regulation in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the surgeon specialty.
Learning outcomes
1.- Must acquire detailed theoretical knowledge of the aetiology, pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis, differential diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries and diseases, as well as indications for conservative and surgical treatment.
- Aetiology, pathogenesis, symptoms and course of injuries and most common diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
- Diagnostic methods used in traumatology and orthopaedics.
- Emergency assistance and principles of treatment of bone fractures of the musculoskeletal system.
- Principles of treatment of acquired and congenital orthopaedic diseases in adult patients.
- Types of thermal injury, course thereof, principles of treatment.
- The most common complications in patients with injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, symptoms, causes, principles of treatment thereof.
1.- To examine a patient with an injury or disease of the musculoskeletal system.
- To interpret the results of diagnostic methods used (clinical tests, radiological, cytological and microbiological) examinations.
- To provide first aid and emergency qualified assistance to patients with injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system and thermal injury.
- To draw up an examination and treatment plan for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and diseases.
- Emergency puncture technique.
- To orient in the choice of treatment options for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and diseases.
1.To provide first aid and emergency qualified assistance to patients with traumatic injuries.
