Objective

To provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the work organization of the emergency medicine (admission) department, as well as to strengthen the acquired knowledge and practical skills in practical independent work with patients of various profiles, in order to be able to independently organize patient care in conditions of a large flow of patients.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.• Know the principles how to manage of patient care at high patient flow conditions;
• Can describe tactical, organizational and legal aspects of the emergency medicine;
• can define the conflict resolution principles;
• know emergency medicine principles of treatment the various profile of patients.

Skills

1.The student will be able to:
• Independently make decisions about hospitalization or discharge of patients for outpatient treatment;
• Perform the manipulations provided for in the program;
• Independently carry out diagnostic measures and provide emergency assistance to patients of various profiles;
• Restructure the work of the department in the manner envisaged in the disaster plan under conditions of increased preparedness.

Competence

1.The ability to use knowledge of work organization in conditions of high patient flow, as well as the ability to independently examine patients, make decisions about hospitalization or discharge, and perform practical manipulations.
