Objective

To provide students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge of the Public Order Police institutions, their competence and issues of their work organisation.

Tasks:
1. To provide students with knowledge of the tasks of the State Police and the competence of the Public Order Police institutions.
2. To provide students with knowledge of the forms and methods of public participation in the activities of the Public Order Police.
3. To provide students with knowledge of the tasks of the Public Order Police station inspectors and the organisation of prevention work, as well as of the concept and understanding of prevention.
4. To provide students with knowledge of the preventive work of the Public Order Police inspectors with juvenile offenders.
5. To provide students with knowledge of the work organisation of the Public Order Police inspectors in the field of police surveillance and police control.
6. To provide students with knowledge of police activities in short-term holding facilities, as well as of escorting and guarding of persons.
7. To provide students with knowledge of the functioning of the Operative management units and the preconditions for its effectiveness.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

On completion of the study course students will have acquired knowledge of the competence of the Public Order Police and of the work organization issues.

Skills

On completion of the study course students will be able to determine structural units that are competent to perform activities within the competence of the Public Order Police, to determine the measures that foster the interaction between the police and the society and the role and place of prevention in the field of internal security.

Competence

On completion of the study course students will be able to demonstrate, identify and formulate problems in the field of the Public Order Police and to conduct independent research.
