What to do in an open area

What should I do if I am in an open area?

If you hear an explosion nearby or a drone is rapidly approaching, lie face down on the ground, cover your head with your hands, and keep your mouth slightly open to reduce the impact of the blast wave.

Seek shelter in a ditch, excavation pit, basement entrance, pedestrian tunnel, or the nearest reinforced concrete or brick structure.

What to do after an explosion or collapse

What should I do if I am trapped under rubble?

Try to make your presence known and wait for rescuers. Create noise by knocking on pipes or concrete surfaces. If mobile communication is available, call 112 or inform your relatives of your location.
