Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:On successful course completion, the students will be able to define and demonstrate methods of primary and emergency care in cases of oro-maxillo-facial injuries and acute odontogenic infections. They will recognise and evaluate the clinical signs of oro-facial tumours, and describe differential diagnosis of malignant tumours and treatment principles. They will distinguish and identify the diagnostic principles of maxillofacial imaging and will interpret the images in cases of maxillofacial fractures and diseases.
Skills:The students will be able to perform clinical examination of the oral cavity and maxillofacial region and to establish a diagnosis in cases of trauma, inflammatory processes and tumours at the level of primary medical care. They will be able to immobilise the jaw in case of injuries.
Competencies:The students will be competent in different diagnostic and treatment methods of pathologies in oral and maxillofacial region.
