Preliminary Knowledge:
Business Research Methodology. Basics of Business English.
Objective:
To ensure active involvement of students in the study process and use of academic resources, as well as to enhance the student's understanding, knowledge and skills in using these resources.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Development of the Semester project and its presentation. During the 1st semester students in teams of 2 (3 students may be in one team if there is an odd number of students) identify academic and research resources available at RSU and out-of-university, their types, applicability and concisely describe them by creating a table or scheme, or info-graphic and its brief analytical interpretation (max. 3 pages), as well as a presentation, which will also be presented (defended) by the team at the end of the semester. The programme will provide a sample presentation structure (questions). In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria:
Development and visualisation of the Semester project (50%) – the ability to identify the set of academic and research resources necessary for the study process is assessed, as well as the ability to find out how to use them; supervising committee also assesses the ability to collect information in a structured way by linking different resource units. Presentation of the Semester project (50%) – the ability to express oneself accurately, to listen and react to other points of view, receive criticism is assessed.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Student knows academic and research resources at RSU and beyond, including human resources, library resources, other institutional, content and information resources.
Skills:Students are able to identify the set of academic and research resources necessary for the study process, to find out how to apply them and to use the resources for the study and research process.
Competencies:Able to learn, identify the unknown, search for a solution, formulate information in written, structured analytical and concise manner, present it, express it accurately.
