Visiting professor, neurosurgeon Dr Juha Hernesniemi will give a lecture on “50 years in neurosurgery” on 9 December at 13:00 in the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Great Hall.
Professor Juha Hernesniemi is an internationally recognised specialist in the field of neurosurgery. He has led the neurosurgery department in Helsinki for many years and has practiced in many countries in the world, including Nepal and China. The professor is also the author of many scientific publications and books.
RSU graduate Johanna Nisula, who is currently a resident of neurosurgery at a hospital in Tampere, will also participate in the lecture. She will share her experience from the time she spent in Latvia and the path of her professional development in Finland.
