On Friday, 29 August at 14:30, the opening ceremony of the new 2025/2026 academic year will take place in the courtyard of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) main building at 16 Dzirciema iela.
Following the completion of the first-year student integration activities Students' First Stop for local students, and Welcome Week for international students, we invite all first-year students to celebrate the beginning of the new academic year together.

- Activities and discussions let by the RSU B-Space Business Incubator team

Opening of academic year
- RSU Rector, Prof. Aigars Pētersons, will share a welcome message and valuable advice for your studies
- Enjoy performances by the RSU folk dance ensemble Ačkups and the mixed choir Rīga, take part in traditional dancing, and listen to live music by Latvian band The Bad Tones
- The event will be hosted by actor Niklāvs Kurpnieks
The event will take place outdoors. Please check the weather forecast and bring an umbrella or a raincoat in case of rain!
