As the seasons change, it's the perfect time to declutter and give a second life to items you no longer use. The RSU Spring Market invites students and staff to participate in a sustainable and community-driven event where you can sell or give away pre-loved clothing, accessories, and more. Whether it’s a coat that no longer fits your style, shoes that have barely been worn, or sportswear you no longer need – bring them to the market and let someone else enjoy them!
Number of sellers: Up to 29 vendors – 20 tables and 9 clothing racks (please choose only one; if selecting a clothing rack, bring your own hangers).
What can be sold
Clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, and sportswear.
Participation guidelines
- Open to all RSU students and employees.
- Items must be clean and in good, usable condition.
- Prices can go up to 20 EUR; items can be given away for free.
- Participants are responsible for labeling their items with prices (stickers, tags, or signs are recommended).
- Changing rooms will be available on site.

The idea of the event was developed by the students of the RSU Faculty of Social Sciences, as part of the RSU Student Union project Zaļš (Green) within a course on consumer behaviour (February-April, 2025) under the supervision of lecturer Kristīne Blumfelde-Rutka. The project involved students of the International Marketing and Advertising bachelor study programme, developing ideas on promoting sustainable lifestyles.
