Participation in the Baltic-German University Liaison Office project competition by submitting a project application "Baltic-German Summer School on Systematic Reviews”. The project has been approved with funding in the amount of 3506 EUR. Summer School organising in collaboration with Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin Medical Library (Germany) and Baltic partners from the Library and Information Centre of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (Lithuania) and Tartu University Hospital Library (Estonia). On 22-26 March 2021, RSU organised an international conference RSU Science Week 2021, during which The RSU Library organised for the first time as a project a panel discussion on “The Role of Academic Libraries Research Support”, with more than 70 foreign and Latvian academics online participation of libraries' leading specialists. The exchange of experience among the various national libraries confirmed that The RSU Library's development direction is based on the most important priorities of modern university libraries: fast, convenient and high-quality services, raising user information skills and supporting research.Latvia

Target audience: doctor, nurse, physician's assistant, midwife, functional specialist, pharmacist. In 2020, 12 classes took place (6 - remotely online, 6 - in person), 98 participants from all over Latvia. Latvia

Project aim - to deepen the knowledge on how Information Literacy is applied to STEM disciplines in Europe and, consequently, to improve the educational offer of the organizations participating in the project through the creation of a modular set of innovative learning units for researchers and doctoral students, current and future workers in technical-scientific sectors.

The project aims to develop an innovative, international professional development education program for librarians in the field of medical information literacy, based on andragogical principles, to develop methodological materials (e-book) for lecturers and teaching materials.

  • Health science teachers who are interested in information for the study process;
  • European medical information professionals planning to develop and / or deliver similar training programs.
