Marta Urbāne is attorney-at-law, certified mediator and holds PhD in Law with extensive experience in both legal practice and academia. She specialises in international commercial law and conflict management, focusing on the challenges of application of legal norms in today’s digital and globalised business environment. Her research interests include the transformation of labour law in the digital economy and consumer protection in the digital market, in particular in the application of legal norms posed by digital platforms. Marta Urbāne is a regular speaker at international scientific conferences and has worked as a visiting lecturer outside Latvia, including at the University of Florence.
