For Students
For RSU Employees

The first Kanzan sakura cherry trees were planted this week in Rīga Stradiņš University’s (RSU) Inspiration Park. The initiative is part of the “Zaļš” project implemented by the RSU Student Union (Studējošo pašpārvalde, SP) in cooperation with the Department of Infrastructure.

It is one of the first steps on a list of improvements to Inspiration Park. Other landscaping work such as adding footpaths, benches, and lighting to the park are also planned.

On Monday, 16 May, students, staff from the Department of Infrastructure, as well as RSU Rector, Prof. Aigars Pētersons, and management gathered at Inspiration Park full of determination and vigour to plant the cherry trees.

The project also includes the “Citā plūsmā” event where students will be offered birch seedlings that they can plant by wherever they like.

The project “Zaļš” aims to raise awareness of environmental protection and sustainable lifestyle among students.
