The Mogo/RSU hockey club has become the Optibet Hockey League champion for the third year in a row, convincingly defeating Zemgale/LBTU in the final series and securing the fifth Latvian championship title in the club’s history.

The decisive moment of the championship came on 16 April, in the fifth game of the final series, when a 2–1 victory was secured just three seconds before the end of regulation time. Mogo/RSU took the lead after a precise shot by Ingus Ločmelis into the Zemgale/LBTU net, still the opponents equalised the score in the second period. As the game was heading into overtime, Niks Feņenko took the initiative and decided the outcome of the championship in favour of Mogo/RSU.
