The workshop focuses on the human dimensions of professional mobility, its influencing factors, and associated risks across different fields, with particular attention to academic and healthcare environments, the lives of professionals in the creative industries and media, as well as the field of sport. The event will explore how, in the context of highly competitive labour markets and long-term professional development pathways, individuals navigate emotional, relational, and personal challenges in building and developing their careers.
The workshop is organised within the framework of the project '(R)E-TIES: Managing mobility and human relations in digitally saturated social worlds' in cooperation with the University College London Institute of Education. The event marks the approach of the project’s concluding phase, the deepening of cooperation between the Social Sciences Research Centre and University College London, and the further development of professional careers research at Rīga Stradiņš University.
