Join the Hubs on Gender Equality in Research!
We invite researchers and doctoral students of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) to take part in the thematic hubs on gender equality, inclusion, and diversity in research, organised within the Horizon Europe project Fostering inclusive biomedicine GEPs in research and higher education institutions (INCLUDE).


The thematic hubs will focus on four key topics:
- Rethinking Diversity in Biomedical Research;
- Intersectional Data Collection & Indicators;
- Gender & Intersectionality in Biomedical Research;
- Strategic Gender Budgeting in R&I: Tools, Practices, Outcomes for Sustaining Change.
The aim of the hubs is to exchange experiences, learn from international examples, and jointly explore solutions for creating a more inclusive research environment in Europe.
The hubs will be held online in English until May 2026.
Current forums
The next forum, Gender Budgeting, will take place across three online sessions:
- 15 January 2026 - Gender Responsive Budgeting for Strengthening Research Organizations
- 17 March 2026 - Specific GRB approaches and tools
- 5 May 2026 - Engaging national and regional funding agencies to promote gender-sensitive research funding, creating a potential spill-over effect for research performing institutions
