Representatives From the Prime Minister’s Office Visit RSU

Jānis Patmalnieks, the Head of the Prime Minister's Office, Ilze Skrodele, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Legal Affairs, Māris Cepurītis, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, and Mārtiņš Daugulis, Outside Advisor for Sustainable Policy Affairs, visited Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) on 6 February 2020.

During their visit, the representatives from the Prime Minister’s Office were briefed on indicators of development at RSU, the research process and simulation-based education. In addition the guests discussed higher education reform with university management and students.

RSU Rector Professor Aigars Pētersons expressed his gratitude to the guests for their understanding and for the constructive atmosphere during the visit pointing out that there is strength in cooperation. RSU was also represented by Prof. Jānis Gardovskis, Chair of the Senate, Toms Baumanis, Vice-Rector for Administration and Development, Prof. Guntis Bahs, Vice-Rector for Health Studies, Agrita Kiopa, Vice-Rector for Science, as well as Anna Jete Gauja, Chair of the Student Union and Paula Feldmane, Head of Foreign Affairs.
