RSU Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE) continues to purposefully develop cooperation with Latvian sports federations. On 28 January, RSU LASE management team met with representatives of the Coach Education Unit of the Latvian Football Federation (LFF).

At the meeting, RSU LASE was represented by Diāna Laipniece, Director of RSU LASE, Inese Ļubinska, Head of Sports Study Field, and Renārs Līcis, Head of Department of Individual and Team Sports. The discussion with Artūrs Biezais, Head of the LFF Coach Education Unit, and unit employees Deina Pavāre and Ronalds Smans provided a professional and in-depth exchange of ideas on continuing education opportunities for coaches at different educational levels, as well as current trends of the sports sector.

The discussion also generated new cooperation ideas for the organisation of RSU LASE student placements, not only for students specialising in football but also for those specialising in fitness, thereby broadening opportunities for students to gain practice-based experience.

“Direct cooperation with sports federations allows us to respond in a timely manner to sectoral development trends and ensure that the study content is practice-based, topical and relevant to labour market needs,”

emphasises Inese Ļubinska, Head of Sports Study Field.

RSU LASE considers that timely and purposeful cooperation with industry professionals is a crucial precondition for ensuring the quality of the study process and sustainable development of the sports sector in Latvia.
