RSU lecturer Sandra Rozenštoka elected Vice-President of the International Federation of Sports Medicine
Sandra Rozenštoka, Head of the Sports Physician residency programme speciality at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), sports physician and researcher, has been elected Vice-President of the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS).

‘I am honoured by this vote of confidence. At the same time,
I see it as recognition of the work and development of Latvia’s sports medicine professionals. This new position provides an opportunity to actively contribute to shaping the future of sports medicine, strengthen international cooperation in education and science, and promote the representation of professional communities from smaller countries at the international level,’ says Sandra Rozenštoka.

FIMS is an international professional organisation for sports medicine that promotes the development and research of sports medicine, supports athletes’ health, safety and injury prevention, and advances education and international cooperation in sports medicine. FIMS brings together sports medicine professionals and national sports medicine organisations from around the world.
It should be noted that Sandra Rozenštoka is also a sports physician for the Latvian Paralympic Committee and an international classifier in parasport. Her professional work covers athlete healthcare, sports medicine research and parasport medicine.
