For Students
Research

Student research and innovation grants are an opportunity for students from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) to realise their ideas. The grants are intended to support and motivate RSU students to conduct research, including entrepreneurship development and to cultivate their skills.

Any RSU student can receive a grant - both full-time and part-time students. Undergraduate and graduate students can apply in teams of 2-5 people, residency students are, however, invited to apply individually.

The first steps in developing these grants began in 2019, and continued in earnest in April last year when improved regulations were implemented. It has taken several months to set up the grants and the RSU Student Union and Research Department have managed the project's financing at the same time. The road has been long, but this January everything necessary is in place in order to announce the first call for grant applications.

Implementing this project has been a team effort involving organisation by such structural units as the RSU Student Union, the Research Department and the RSU Alumni Association. Rīga Stradiņš University, the Institute of Stomatology and the B-Space Business Incubator have provided financing.

We wish to express our gratitude to The Institute of Stomatology for the opportunities they are providing to carry out research in the field of dentistry.

Application for RSU Student Research and Innovation Grants is open from 1 to 28 February.
