RSU thanks outgoing student union leaders and welcomes new representatives
On 16 January, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Rector Professor Aigars Pētersons, thanked the heads of the RSU Student Union (Studējošo pašpārvalde, SP) and the International Student Association (ISA) for their work in 2025 and welcomed the new leaders of these organisations.

The Rector thanked Luīze Monta Remese for her significant contribution to the development of RSU during her term as Chairperson of the RSU Student Union in 2025. He highlighted that her leadership and inspirational abilities, strong sense of responsibility, and purposeful work were highly valued, as they strengthened student representation and fostered respectful cooperation in pursuit of shared goals.
Meanwhile, Mazeen Mazhar served as President of the RSU ISA in 2025 focusing on promoting inclusiveness and strengthening the presence of international students within the university community. The Rector thanked him for his active contribution.
In 2026, the leadership of both student organisations has been assumed by new leaders, who also attended the ceremonial event.
The current Chairperson of RSU SP is Kristiana Jurkevica. The current President of RSU ISA is Muskan Khan Shakur Khan Pathan.
