We Offer

The Oral Health Research Group at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) invites applications from a highly motivated Scientific Assistant to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team focused on policy-relevant research in public oral health. This role is part of a high-impact project entitled:
“Estimating the Economic Burden and Cost Implications of Dental Caries in Children in Latvia: A Health System Modeling and Policy Simulation Approach.”
This project contributes to national health planning and cross-country collaboration across the Baltic and EU regions.

 

Work Location: Rīga Stradiņš University, Dzirciema 20, Riga, Latvia

Employment contract: Fixed-term employment contract for 2 years (Full-time or Part-time)

 

What you will do

  • Supporting data collection, management, and analysis of epidemiological data
  • Assist in the developing of health system models and AI-based projection dashboards
  • Coordinating logistics for stakeholder interviews and survey administration
  • Collaborating with international research partners and onterdisciplinary project teams
  • Contributing to report writing, literature reviews, and research presentations
  • Engaging with and supporting other ongoing projects within the group 

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • A Master’s degree or professional qualification in Public Health, Dentistry (BDS), Medicine (MBBS), Health Economics, Epidemiology, or related fields
  • Desirable: Experience or demonstrated interest in dental public health, health policy, or health data analysis
  • Willingness to learn and apply new tools and methods, including health modeling and AI-based tools
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment
  • Excellent command of the English language
