We Offer
The Oral Health Research Group at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) invites applications from a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team focused on policy-relevant research in public oral health. This role is part of a high-impact project entitled:“Estimating the Economic Burden and Cost Implications of Dental Caries in Children in Latvia: A Health System Modeling and Policy Simulation Approach.”
This project contributes to national health planning and cross-country collaboration across the Baltic and EU regions.
Work Location: Rīga Stradiņš University, Dzirciema 20, Riga, Latvia
Employment contract: 1 years (Full-time or Part-time) with possibility to extend based on performance
What you will do
- Analyze epidemiological survey data on childhood dental caries
- Envelope Markov models and AI-enhanced projection dashboards
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and policy simulation exercises
- Collaborate with international partners and EU partner universities
- Present research findings at national and international conferences and forums
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers and graduate students
- Contribute to parallel research initiatives within the Oral Health Research Group
Who We’re Looking For
- PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Public Policy, or Dental Science
- Preferred qualifications include research experience in dental or oral health, AI modeling, or health policy
- Motivation to explore health economics and AI tools (prior technical expertise not required)
- A collaborative spirit, and passion for meaningful, policy-relevant research
- Excellent command of the English language
