RSU researchers participate in ethnology and folklore congress in Scotland
From 3 to 6 June 2025, researchers from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) took part in the 17th Congress of the International Society for Ethnology and Folklore (SIEF), held in Scotland under the theme “Unwriting”.
(R)E-TIES researcher Diāna Kiščenko represented RSU at the event, while lead researcher Ieva Puzo, together with Christian S. Ritter from Karlstad University, played an active role in organising the panel “Writing about mobilities: borders and public health in the climate regime”, held under the Migration and Mobility Working Group.
The opening ceremony of the congress featured a compelling conversation between renowned scholars Don Kulick and Amy Shuman, moderated by Thomas McKean of the Elphinstone Institute. Photo: courtesy of R(E)TIES
