RSU LSPA

Today, 15 August, the management of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE) met with representatives of the Liepāja City Council in Liepāja to discuss opportunities for closer cooperation, particularly regarding internship opportunities for RSU LASE students.

The meeting was attended by RSU LASE Deputy Director Diāna Laipniece, RSU Sports Study Programme Director Inese Ļubinska, Liepāja City Council Deputy Chairman Jānis Džeriņš, Aivis Tints, Head of the Liepāja Sports Administration, and Krišjānis Vēsmiņš, initiator and patron of the Liepāja sports class "Spurts".

‘During our meeting, we concluded that we share a common vision – future sports specialists must have access to high-quality education and practical training opportunities. We have already agreed on closer cooperation, providing students of various sports specialties – sports coaches, sports teachers and managers in the field of sports – with practical training opportunities at Liepāja educational institutions: general education and sports schools. We also plan to sign an agreement on this cooperation in September,’ said Laipniece.

During the visit, RSU LASE representatives also visited the RSU Liepāja branch.
