We Offer

The Science Professor (Tenured Professor) Group at the Faculty of Dentistry, Riga Stradiņš University invites a Scientific Assistant to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team engaged in a high-impact public health project. The position is part of an ongoing international research initiative entitled:
“Integrating oral health promotion in primary health care.”
This project supports national health planning and cross-border collaboration across the Baltic and EU region.

 

Work Location: Rīga Stradiņš University, Dzirciema 20, Riga, Latvia

Working hours: 40 hours a week or less

Type of employment: 1-year fixed term employment contract, with the possibility of extension based on availability and performance

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Support data collection, management, and of research data analysis
  • Assist in the development of health system models and AI-based forecasting tools
  • Coordinate logistics for stakeholder interviews and survey administration
  • Collaborate with international research partners and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in the preparation of scientific reports, literature reviews, and presentations of research
  • Engage with and support other projects within the research group 

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • A Master’s degree or professional qualification in Public Health, Dentistry (BDS), Medicine (MBBS), Epidemiology, or related fields
  • Preferred: Experience and interest in dental public health, health policy, or health data analysis
  • Willingness to learn and apply new methods and tools, including health modelling and AI-based solutions
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
