Objective

The objective of the course is to promote students' critical, analytical thinking, to improve their cultural competence and intercultural communication skills in the context of globalization and cultural diversity.

Not required.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Students gain an idea of current issues in intercultural communication, factors that affect a person's individual development, as well as the structure and socialization of social institutions in a multicultural society.

Skills

Skills to create an analysis of cultural diversity, to interpret theoretical texts, to implement needs research, to communicate in practice and to build relationships of trust in the context of intercultural communication.

Competence

Students are competent in forming an intercultural position, reacting to expressions of racism, to integrate the acquired knowledge and alternative views on intercultural dialogue and conflicts; to critically analyze the dynamics of the situation in intercultural communication in a particular society or community, to implement culturally sensitive professional practice.
