Objective

To develop understanding of the European Union communication policy – its principles, goals and implementation aspects.
To promote learning of knowledge about the European Union, as well as to build skills to use the obtained knowledge in the analysis of communication processes and phenomena.

Prerequisites

Knowledge about the institutions of the European Union, communication theories, decision-making process, topical political events.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.After mastering the course students formulate EU communication policy goals, basic principles, rationale for creation and implementation specifics.

Skills

1.After mastering the course students analyse the specifics of implementation of EU communication policy, tools used and operation mechanisms.

Competence

1.After mastering the course students critically evaluate EU communication campaigns.
