From 3–10 October, Rīga will be hosting the i-Days healthcare innovation hackathon, where students from universities across Latvia will be challenged to develop solutions to pressing issues in healthcare. Participants are invited to join in teams of 3–4 or register individually, regardless of their study year or field. The goal is to generate ideas that could transform healthcare – from promoting preventive medicine to supporting early disease detection and lifestyle changes.

Here is a short interview with Amina, to get to know her and find out why she decided to intern at RSU.
Jeļena Storoženko, associate professor and researcher at the Department of Infectology at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), began working at RSU in 2002 as a Assistant Professor. For many years, she has been the head of the Laboratory Medicine Residency Programme.
