On 3 March, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons took part in the conference Zināšanas – Latvijas ekonomikas un uzņēmējdarbības attīstības pamats. Ceļa karte zinātņietilpīgai Latvijas ekonomikas attīstībai (Knowledge as the Foundation of Latvia’s Economic and Business Development. A Roadmap for the Development of a Knowledge-Intensive Latvian Economy).
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) volleyball teams enjoyed unexpected success in the Baltic League finals. On 8 March, the RSU men’s team, Robežsardze/RSU, won silver medals in the Baltic Men’s Volleyball League. On 1 March, the RSU women’s team won bronze medals in the Baltic Women’s Volleyball League.
Asst. Prof. Lauma Sprinģe, researcher at the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Institute of Public Health, participated in the Health.Tech Summit in Basel, Switzerland, from 3 to 5 March 2026. The summit brought together experts in healthcare, technology, and innovation to discuss digital solutions for improving patient care.

Researchers from the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Dentistry have launched a nationwide study on the economic, social, and emotional burden of childhood caries on families in Latvia. The study analyses the impact of dental caries in children up to the age of 18, based on the experiences of parents and primary caregivers.
On Thursday, 5 March, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) hosted a visit by H. E. Carl Peersman, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Latvia, accompanied by Katrīna Ošiņa, Senior Political and Public Diplomacy Officer at the Embassy of the Netherlands. During the visit, the Ambassador met with RSU Chancellor Toms Baumanis, International Department representative Reinis Gailītis, and RSU students from the Netherlands.
