Last week, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) hosted the traditional Orientation Week, which is organised before the start of each new academic year to give international students an opportunity to get acquainted with RSU and one another. Next week, 508 new students from 39 countries will start their studies at our university, which is a new record (in comparison, last year 420 international students from 35 countries began their studies at RSU). In total, more than 2,900 international students from 77 countries are currently studying at RSU.
If you wish to acquire new competences and skills, become more competitive in the labour market, get to know the programme you have chosen for your studies, or study even if ,for some reason, you cannot commit to the full study programme at a university, you have a unique opportunity to study at the Rīga Stradiņš (RSU) University Open University. You do not have to take any admission exams in order to apply.
As a free listener, you can enrol in any study programme or part of a study programme offered by RSU in medicine, health care, or social sciences.
On 29 August, the EIT Health RIS Hub participated in the Startup Community Forum organised by the Latvian Startup Association Startin.LV. The presentation will outline the opportunities for start-ups that EIT Health offers.
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will be hosting a seminar "Empowering migrants' adaptation in Nordic and Baltic Societies". The event will take place on 28 and 29 August, at 11.00-16.00, in Room B-205 of the main building (16 Dzirciema iela).
The seminar will bring together scholars and NGO activists from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, and Georgia. Anyone who is interested is welcome to listen to the presentations and join the conversation.
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Pharmacy Studies and Research Centre has won 1st place in the New Public Building category at the Best Building of the Year in Latvia 2022 award ceremony which took place on 17 August 2023.
The competition is organised by the Latvian Construction Association. The aim of the event is to highlight the best buildings and examples of best practice in construction. A total of 35 of the most outstanding construction projects that were completed in the past year in eight categories were honoured at this year's awards ceremony.
