Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) held the National Degree Examinations between 30 May and 2 June. 340 students (188 local and 152 international) sat for the exam this year – a record-breaking number. Students must pass the exam in order to be awarded their medical degree.
‘If the past six years at RSU had to be summed up in one word, it would be “growth”.
On 12 June 2025, the RSU B-Space business incubator will hold its annual incubation programme Demo Day. During the event, teams will pitch their ideas to a jury and compete for up to 2,500 EUR to develop their idea.

On 18 May, the Study Quality Committee made a decision to accredit the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Psychology study direction for the maximum possible period of six years. All three study programmes (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral) are well prepared on both a national and international level.
On 31 May 2022, Professor Aigars Pētersons, the Rector of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), and Juris Rubenis, the Director of the Integral Education Institute, signed a cooperation agreement. The aim of the agreement is to develop interdisciplinary research in the field of public health promotion and social sciences.
Both parties plan to carry out joint research projects. The aim is to share human resources and the infrastructure available to both institutions, to make use of the potential for cooperation in study and research activities.
On Thursday, 2 June, as the end of the academic year approaches, we continued a tradition that we started five years ago and held a ceremony to honour our best sports teams, athletes, and coaches.
In his introduction to the event, RSU Rector Professor Aigars Pētersons expressed his gratitude to those students who managed to be active during the academic year and who could successfully combine their studies with award-winning sports activities.
