On August 29, the President of Latvia Egils Levits met with Professor Aigars Pētersons, the Rector of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and Chair of the Board of the Association of Latvian Universities, in Riga Castle.

The innovation festival iNOVUSS will start on Friday 30 August this year. Over three days the festival will bring together everyone from experts on technological creativity and innovative entrepreneurship, to curious families with children. The Bank of Ideas tent will act as a warm-up to the new academic year.

The traditional academic meeting of the RSU Department of Internal Diseases and the Institute of the History of Medicine will be held for the 17th consecutive year to celebrate the start of the new academic year. The meeting will take place at 16:00 on 29 August at Pauls Stradiņš Museum for the History of Medicine, 1 Antonijas Iela.

The Head of the Department of Internal Diseases, Professor Aivars Lejnieks, and the Director of the Institute of the History of Medicine, Professor Juris Salaks, will chair the meeting.

The Faculty of Rehabilitation at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year. We can compare the faculty to a teenager that has grown and matured, who already knows what they want to achieve in life, and has already acquired certain knowledge and skills, but for whom much is yet to come and all paths are open.
