RSU Morfoloģijas katedra ir sākusi vērienīgu projektu – mikroskopu preparātu digitalizēšanu

In order to ensure access to study materials for Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) healthcare direction students, the Department of Morphology has launched a large-scale project – the digitalisation of microscope slides. From spring onwards, RSU students will have access to a comprehensive digital archive of samples for histology and embryology study courses. The project is being implemented with the support of the Boris and Inara Teterev Foundation.

New RSU management team, approved by RSU Senate

On 23 January Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Senate approved the new management team and structural changes proposed by RSU rector Professor Aigars Pētersons.

According to the approved organisational changes which will come into effect on 1 February, there will be four areas of responsibility, each of which will be led by the vice-rector of each respective field:

An exhibition titled "What would our first two rectors have discussed?" will be displayed in the RSU Museum display cabinet next to the Great Hall (Aula) from 29th January to 18th April. The exhibition will be about the first two RSU (at that time - Rīga Medicine Institute) rectors, Prof. Ernests Burtnieks and Prof. Vasilijs Kalbergs. The exhibition is free of charge and can be viewed from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. every weekday.
