From archaeology to modern dentistry, Alisa Kazarina's research journey is anything but conventional. A pharmacist with a PhD in biology, she now explores the fascinating world of the oral microbiome at the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Dentistry.
On Monday, 21 April, in the final match of the Latvian Championship series, the Rīga Stradiņš University/Murjāņi Sports Gymnasium (RSU/MSĢ) women’s volleyball team claimed the national championship title for the second consecutive year!
On 29 April 2025 at 14:00, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Study and Research Centre for Orthodontics will open at 9 Antonijas iela, Rīga. The centre is a branch of the RSU Institute of Stomatology.
On 7 November 2025, at 12:00, the Ministry of Health and the Cabinet of Ministers will present Letters of Commendation and Gratitude, to professionals in the health sector to thank them for their outstanding achievements in the public health, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. The presentation ceremony will take place in the Great Hall of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU).
The Ministry's awards are presented twice a year: before the Latvian National Days in May and November.

On Saturday, 12 April, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) hosted an Open Day for secondary school students, teachers, parents, and other interested individuals to get acquainted with the study programmes, the university environment, and to meet students and faculty members.
The RSU Institute of Microbiology and Virology has focused on studying autoimmune dimensions of fibromyalgia (FM) and is exploring the unique interactions between various biomarkers in fibromyalgia patients. The study aims to improve diagnostic and prognostic accuracy by promoting effective and personalized treatment approaches for fibromyalgia.
