Coordinate and develop training courses for the improvement of medical, emergency help and occupational safety skills in Baltic Sea shipping. Develop cross-border cooperation between medical and maritime transport institutions

Project beneficiaries are educational institutions implementing study programmes for seafarers and medical staff (registered nurse, emergency care nurse and public health nurse)


Planned project activities

  • Nine vocational training course programmes will be created to develop medical, occupational safety and emergency help skills for ship crew, shipping nurses, navigation and engineering staff.
  • The developed training course will be approved via a pilot program.
  • The training materials will be used in the form of e-learning in the international environment

The study programme developed as a result of the project will provide the opportunity to develop the professional skills necessary at present, which will facilitate involvement of local employees in the European and international labour market.
