About Study Course
Objective
Learn the most common gastroenterological diseases in adults and be able to see the differences in the evaluation of specific symptoms in children and adults, learn the manifestations of genetically inherited digestive tract diseases in adulthood, learn to prepare patients with chronic digestive tract diseases for the transition to an adult clinic.
Learning outcomes
1.Trainees must demonstrate a core fund of knowledge in gastroenterological and hepatic physiology,pathophysiology, clinical pharmacology, radiology, and surgery, especially for chronic GI diseases manifested in childhood.
1.The ability to arrive at an appropriate differential diagnosis, outline a logical plan for specific and targeted investigations pertaining to the patient’s complaints, and formulate a plan for management and follow-up treatment of the adult patient, to demonstrate
interpersonal and communication skills that result in effective information exchange with
their patients, families, and other health care professionals.
1.Trainees must be able to provide pediatric patient with chronic GI diseases a structured transition plan to adult gastrointestinal clinic.
