Objective

To provide students with an understanding of patient examination, as well as practical skills in the assessment of the resulting outcomes, in the context of the fundamentals of physiotherapy.

Prerequisites

Previously acquired study courses in anatomy, human physiology, biomechanics.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

After completing the course, the student will gain knowledge of how the control of movements and postures in the motor is carried out in the human body, and how to examine the number of movements, tests of muscle length and strength, posture and gait assessment.

Skills

Evaluate muscle function by performing movements and holding various positions, perform the examination of the volume of movements in the limb joints, tests of muscle length and strength, assessment of posture and gait.

Competence

Be able to understand the results of patient assessment and apply them in professional activities.
