Objective

Acquisition of basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the care of healthy women in different periods of life and in the use of rational nutrients necessary for the body.

Prerequisites

Knowledge in anatomy, physiology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.As a result of the study course, students acquire basic knowledge that allows them to:
• describe the anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive system in different periods of life;
. describe the reproductive and sexual health of women;
. describe preventive examinations, screenings and self-examination methods in the care of a healthy woman;
. describe the specifics of work in the care of a social risk group, the risks of violence and their recognition;
. understand the role of communication in the processes of caring for women;
• describe the importance of the main nutrients – proteins, carbohydrates and fats – for a woman's body in different periods of life;
• describe the role of vitamins and minerals in nutrition for a woman's body in different periods of life;
• describe the importance of nutrition during pregnancy and breastfeeding;
• explain the role of nutrition in the prevention and treatment of diseases.

Skills

1.Students are able to listen to a woman during a consultation and recognize her needs.
Students are able to evaluate and determine care priorities at different stages of a woman's life.
Students are able to explain the importance of nutrition in ensuring health and preventing diseases, and are able to provide recommendations for creating a balanced menu.

Competence

1.Students are able to independently educate women, families, and society about the basic principles of healthy women's care and nutrition in maintaining health at various stages of a woman's life.
