Objective

To form a theoretically grounded, unified idea about the main principles of communication and public relations ethics: basic principles, values and norms, their application in practice. To develop an ethical attitude towards colleagues and clients that meets the criteria of professional competence.

Prerequisites

Correspondence to a bachelor's degree in social sciences or humanities.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.• on the specifics of communication and public relations ethics;
• for making ethical decisions;
• the dialectic of truth and falsehood;
• on the application of communication and public relations ethics in practice;
• on the impact of globalization and multiculturalism on public relations and communication ethics.
• on current issues of public relations and communication in public administration.

Skills

1.• to analyze moral dilemma situations;
• to find a morally adequate solution to cases from practice, using the basic principles of public relations and communication ethics;
• use morally correct arguments to substantiate opinion;
• evaluate the basic principles defined in the codes of ethics.

Competence

1.• to develop axiological competence;
• to develop critical thinking skills and apply them in solving current problems;
• analytical approach in the analysis of public administration activities.
